In October 2025, Jordan experienced a 1.19% year-on-year increase in industrial output, signaling a recovery from the 0.80% decline recorded in the previous month. This rebound was primarily attributed to a resurgence in the mining and quarrying sector, which rose by 3.36% after a 0.87% decrease in September. Additionally, both manufacturing activities and electricity production saw accelerated growth, climbing by 3.36% (up from 1.45%) and 4.0% (up from 3.24%), respectively. Over the first ten months of 2025, industrial output increased by 1.44% compared to the same period in the prior year. Despite this annual growth, monthly data revealed a 1.41% decline in industrial production, following a 3.58% drop in September, highlighting short-term volatility in major sectors. Since August, the index has been updated to use a 2018 base year (2018=100), replacing the previous 2010 benchmark.
